Vacuum Packing Solution by Himax

Here is the case in solving customer's special request by proper packing arrangement.
A France customer orders monthly > 500,000pcs large stamped battery connecting tabs regularly from Himax. The material is Nickel Plated Steel (NPS). Under normal circumstances (i.e. room temperature and mild humidity) the edges of battery tabs will not get rusted.
However under the days of high humidity or severe transportation condition, part of the edges were got rusted when received.
After acknowledge of this issue, Himax immediately figured out a proper packing solution: After the battery connecting tabs are stamped, cleaned and quality inspected, we then packed them in vacuum bags so that the edges of the battery tabs won't turn rusted under any severe conditions.
The customer is highly appreciated with Himax by providing this rapid and practical solution.
