Himax unique butting treatment on surface of battery cap or metal stamped parts excludes the necessary of nickel plating process. Saves costs and shortens production lead time.
 
Himax received an order to stamp 1,000,000 pieces of AAA battery caps with material 0.8mm stainless steel SUS304. Previously the customer required the stainless steel battery caps to be nickel plated, as to get a better surface finish.
 
We then suggest the customer to do away the nickel plating, and attempt our unique butting processes instead. We do the stamping, cleaning and butting at one time. The outcome surface finish is excellent and the customer is highly satisfactory of this cost saving and quicker delivery approach. As a result more orders are placed from this customer.
