(A) Homogeneous mixed crystal structure
DANPS is a high grade, cold rolled steel strip with an electro-deposited layer of pure nickel on both sides. A special heat treatment process provides for mutual diffusion of the nickel and iron atoms in the boundary layer. This produces fine grain mixed crystals, i.e. a permanent bond between electrodeposit and base material. In addition, the material is softened and very easy to deep draw. Chemical and optical measurements ensure that there is a plating thickness of 2 µm to 6 µm, depending on the functional and corrosion protective requirements.
