DANPS, which is a high quality brand of Himax nickel plated steel, is a high grade, cold rolled steel strip with an electro-deposited layer of pure nickel on both sides. A special heat treatment process provides for mutual diffusion of the nickel and iron atoms in the boundary layer. This produces fine grain mixed crystals, i.e. a permanent bond between electrodeposit and base material. In addition, the material is softened and very easy to deep draw, Chemical and optical measurements ensure that there is a plating thickness of 2 µm to 6 µm, depending on the functional and corrosion protective requirements.
DANPS material is widely applied in connecting tabs, precision metal parts and contacts of battery packs, electronic component, construction projects, utensils, motor parts, electrical appliances, lamps, small motor cases, stationery, etc.
